FAQ's: Getting your school listed on AAPH

How can I qualify for a listing and link to my school?

AAPH provides a Hypnotherapy Schools page to the public, intended for use by individuals that are looking to train and become certified hypnotherapists and for professional hypnotherapists looking for continuing education and specialty training.

When people are looking for a school to attend, they want to know:

  1. What classes, programs and courses are offered?
  2. When are they offered? How many hours is each class and course?
  3. What is the cost of each class or course?
  4. What certificates are provided? What is the level of certification for each course?
  5. Where is the school located? Where do I attend classes?
  6. How do I register for classes? What are the admission policies and requirements?
  7. Who is teaching? Who is on staff? What are their qualifications and background?
  8. What is the history, status (state licensing, continuing education provider, etc.) and affiliations of the school?
  9. What materials are required for each class? What materials are provided?

AAPH Holiday Calendar

The AAPH Offices will be closed on the following holidays:

New Years Day (January 1st)
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (3rd Monday in January)
Washington's Birthday (3rd Monday in February)
Memorial Day (Last Monday in May)
Independence Day (July 4th)
Labor Day (First Monday in September)
Columbus Day (Second Monday in October)
Veterans Day (November 11)
Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November) & the following Friday
Christmas Day (Dec 25th)

Additionally, the AAPH offices will be closed on these days in 2011:
May 19th-20th (Thr-Fri)
Dec 26th-30th (Mon-Fri)

And these additional days in 2012:
May 23rd-27th (Mon-Fri)
Dec 24th (Mon)
Dec 26th-28th (Wed-Fri)

Staff may be out of the offices during industry conferences, board meetings, and AAPH classes and events during the week. If we aren't available to answer the phone, you may always contact us via email on the Contact page.

AAPH President Josie Hadley: 1944-2007

Our President, Josie Hadley, passed away on December 13, 2007, after undergoing cancer treatment for over 2 years.

Josie made a huge difference in the lives of thousands of people and in the the industry of Hypnotherapy. Her best-selling book, Hypnosis For Change published by New Harbinger Publications, was translated into 13 languages and is used around the world as a textbook in schools for hypnotherapy.

She founded the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy in 1979, where she become a community supporter, a teacher for hundreds of professional hypnotherapists over the years, and a model entrepreneur. The school has expanded staff and programs now to include medical hypnosis, classes in Spanish and Chinese, NLP and more. Her contributions to local community programs, and her pioneering public relations work, brought hypnotherapy into hospitals and medical centers all over Northern California, and have improved the stature and understanding of hypnosis in the medical community.

AAPH Adds Virtual Conference Facilities in "Second Life"

PRESS RELEASE

Portland, OR - October 25, 2007 - This week, AAPH opened a virtual conference center in the new, 3D Virtual Environment known as Second Life. Presently boasting over ten million members and an active economy of over $1 million US dollars spent in-world every day, the virtual world created by San Francisco based Linden Labs can be used for virtual meetings, online classes, exploration, entertainment and events such as live music concerts, art gallery shows, and gaming. Education is one of the main areas of development and interest for the technology.
