The journey into the unconscious is both frightening and freeing, friendly, and formidable, but once you have been there you will never be the same. This is the basis of many of the therapies I use. I place a great deal of emphasis on the relationship between my clients and myself and believe trust is of prime importance for change. I also believe that most people can find many of the answers to their concerns inside themselves, and I facilitate them to discover this inner wisdom. The type of therapeutic interventions I use depends on the person and the issues he/she wants to work on. I use hypnosis for anxiety, stress, self-esteem, performance fears, smoking, weight issues, and other areas as is appropriate. In addition, I am certified in EMDR (see EMDR.com) which is a proven therapy for many issues as well. Sometimes all people need is someone to help them with problem solving, relationship issues, or changing their thoughts and behaviors. These goals can often be accomplished with traditional therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy or assertiveness training.
